Nursing is our calling and was our introduction to each other. We share a common desire to expand our nursing expertise in a way that combines medicine and the challenge of litigation. This desire was the catalyst to launch us into the Legal Nurse Consulting field and join together to create Trifecta Legal Nurse Consulting. We think it's a beautiful thing when our career and our passion come together.

This is our passion!

I am co-founder and partner of Trifecta Legal Nurse Consulting and have obtained my certification in Legal Nurse Consulting (CLNC) through the National Alliances of Legal Nurse Consultants. I bring to the group nineteen years of working experience providing nursing care, monitoring, and supervision at a nationally ranked MAGNET Children’s Hospital. I have spent my career in every area of caring for children, from surgical/transplant, hematology/oncology, rehabilitation, emergency, as well as medical care. My vast experience includes: charge nurse, resource, admitting, auditing, precepting newer nurses and acting as a representative with our nursing union negotiation team. I have an accreditation as a Certified Pediatric Nurse through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and hold an accreditation through the Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification through the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1999 through The Intercollegiate Nursing School at Washington State University and Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. I hail from rural eastern Washington and consider myself a small-town girl at heart who is raising her three teenagers the same way. In my spare time I love to bake Trifecta Treats for our attorney clients and their teams!

I have been a pediatric nurse for over 18 years, working at the bedside in a nationally ranked, Magnet designated, Children’s Hospital. I spent the first four years of my nursing practice on a medical unit and then switched to my current role as a nurse in the Acute Care Float Pool. Working in the float pool has provided me with experience in surgical, rehab, hematology, oncology and emergency care. In 2007 I became a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) through the Pediatric Nurse Certification Board. I have been chemotherapy certified through the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON), since 2005.

As a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC), I love the opportunity to take my nursing knowledge to the next level and help attorneys understand the medical issues in their cases so they can provide the best service to their clients. I really love that legal nurse consulting allows me to put my experience in nursing to use in a new way, and even away from the bedside, to still have a positive impact on other people’s lives.

I grew up in Alaska and then traveled to Indiana, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Evansville. I also spent a semester studying abroad, attending Harlaxton College in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, just outside of London. After college I returned to the Northwest and have lived in Seattle, WA since 2000. In my free time I love to travel, hike, and to spend time with my husband and teenage son and our dog, a Vizsla named Baxter.

My twenty-five years of nursing experience has molded me into an ideal individual to navigate between the medical and litigation worlds. My biology degree taught me to always dissect the whole to reveal vital yet invisible truths, while my nursing degree expanded my critical thinking and advocacy skills.

For twelve years, I thrived as a travel nurse and worked in top medical institutions in all regions of the United States. I consistently stepped out of my comfort zone, questioned the status quo, and appreciated how medical care was conducted in different areas of our country.

My sense of adventure then led me to contract nursing in the Middle East, where I grew exponentially as I learned to heal, educate, and navigate through a complex medical system within a foreign country. My years abroad developed my ability to speak my truth despite cultural opposition, collaborate with top medical professionals from all over the world, and succeed in an environment where obstacles appeared at every turn in the dynamic world of international medicine.

My experience is extensive: Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU); Cardiac Intensive Care (CICU); Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU); Med/Surg; Organ Transplant; Inpatient Rehabilitation; Hematology/Oncology. I am accredited as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and have my Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider certification through the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON). I am currently employed at a nationally ranked MAGNET designated hospital, and I love being a legal nurse consultant as much as I love healing my patients. I am excited to not only welcome you as a client but, most importantly, welcome you into our Trifecta Family!
